The Land Bank has been made aware of fraudulent activities involving scammers posing as representatives of the Bank. These scammers sending fraudulent Request for Quotations (RFQs) and orders to unsuspecting businesses from what would seem to be a Land Bank email address, use a fake RFQ form with the Bank’s logo and contact details of the contact person. They are sending these RFQs from email addresses that may seem legitimate at first glance. It should be noted that Land Bank does not use email addresses that end with:
….. @ladbsa.co.za
……@lbagric.co.za
NB: These domain addresses change frequently.
Land Bank urges any bidder or potential bidder to be on high alert for such tender scams.
Supplier are therefore advised to verify all the RFQs/orders by sending an email to quotations@landbank.co.za or calling Land Bank numbers available on the website www.landbank.co.za other than any contact details that appear on the RFQ /order confirm authenticity prior to responding to any RFQs or orders to avoid falling prey to these fraudsters.
Victims should immediately register criminal case of fraud with the SAPS as soon as they become aware that they have been scammed.
